Job Summary

All Solar Works Ltd is a growing solar installation company based in Worthing, and we are looking for a skilled Electrician with solar experience — or the right attitude to be trained. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality solar PV and battery storage installations for residential and commercial customers across the region.

If you are an experienced electrician who is passionate about renewable energy, or an experienced spark who wants to transition into the solar sector, we want to hear from you. Full solar-specific training can be provided for the right candidate.

Duties

• Install, commission, and test solar PV systems, battery storage units, and associated electrical equipment
• Carry out AC and DC wiring for solar installations in line with MCS standards and BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
• Support G99/DNO grid connection applications and ensure compliance with DNO requirements
• Install, maintain, and repair general electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment across various sites
• Troubleshoot electrical and solar system issues promptly and efficiently to minimise downtime
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately
• Perform routine inspections and health checks on solar PV systems and electrical installations
• Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and MCS/RECC requirements
• Collaborate with surveyors, project managers, and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion
• Maintain clear and accurate records of work completed, materials used, and system commissioning data

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid JIB Gold Card or equivalent electrical qualification (City & Guilds 2382 or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) — essential
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification — desirable
• Experience with solar PV installation is highly desirable; training available for the right candidate
• Knowledge of MCS standards and DNO/G99 application processes is an advantage
• Proficient with hand tools and test equipment including multimeters, insulation testers, and cable testers
• Full UK driving licence — required
