Electrician – Testing & Inspection/Installation

£21.50 per hour | Full Time | Huddersfield Based

We are a young and growing electrical company based in Huddersfield, working predominantly across the M62 corridor. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for a fully qualified electrician to join our team.

This role will primarily involve testing and inspection work (approximately 60–70%), with the remainder consisting of domestic and commercial installation works. Please note, this role does not generally involve domestic rewires as we are predominantly serve the commercial sector.

Essential Requirements

• Fully qualified time served approved electrician
• 18th Edition qualified – must possess a good understanding of BS7671
• C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification
• Full UK driving licence
• Hold JIB Gold Card
• Own van/transport and tools required (business mileage paid)
• IT literate and comfortable using job management software
• Able to work independently and use own initiative
• Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable

• Experience with fire systems/CCTV and intruder alarms would be advantageous

The Role

• Testing and inspection of domestic and commercial installations
• Fire Alarm and emergency Lighting Inspections
• Minor installation and remedial works
• Working across the M62 corridor with occasional travel further afield – Due to the location of most of our current workload, someone based around North Manchester would be ideally located but not essential.
• Using company job management software via phone and laptop provided – All job tasking and time logging is administered through this system.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service
