Corinth Pipeworks, one of the world leading manufacturers of steel pipes for the energy and construction sectors has recently acquired the SAW Pipe Mills at Hartlepool. This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly formed Corinth Pipeworks UK at the beginning of a huge investment programme that will transform the future outlook for the site and business.

The purpose of the role is to provide first line Electrical support to our manufacturing areas to ensure maximum availability of equipment within the two Mills on site.

You will be responsible for conducting all aspects of the job in a safe manner and adhere to statutory and mandatory safety regulations, procedures and policies. You will execute planned maintenance tasks effectively, working through the task schedule in order of priority. Responding to plant breakdowns and machine size changes ensuring plant downtime is minimised.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

· Completed an electrical apprenticeship.

· Worked in a multi-skilled environment within a heavy engineering manufacturing environment.

· A systematic approach to problem solving.

· Good interpersonal skills.

· Knowledge and use of computer-based maintenance software.

With experience of:

· Working effectively within a team.

· Industrial/domestic wiring.

· Hydraulic and Pneumatic Control Systems.

· Overhead Cranes & associated safety systems.

· PLC's in the main Allen Bradley and Siemens.

· Expertise with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems of various configurations

· Variable speed motor control with inverters and converters, including speed feedback devices.

This role currently operates on a 3 shift system of work on a Sunday to Friday basis. The successful candidate will need to be prepared to work differing shift patterns as workload dictates (additional payment is made in such eventualities).
