Electrician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with safety standards and regulations
• Troubleshoot electrical issues effectively to minimise downtime
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and multimeters to carry out tasks accurately
• Operate power tools including drills, saws, and other specialised equipment safely and efficiently
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or faults
• Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget

Experience

• Proven experience as an Electrician or similar role within the construction or maintenance industry
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety procedures
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools related to electrical work
• Experience reading technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams is essential
• Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation are preferred but not mandatory for experienced candidates
