Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on commercial and industrial sites using hand tools and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
• Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring all work adheres to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards for safety and compliance.
• Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively.
• Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes within industrial environments.
• Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects to ensure seamless electrical integration.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports, schematics updates, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings; construction site experience is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, NEC standards, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
• Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills), ohmmeters, and other testing devices.
• Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
• Ability to read technical schematics and construction drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with renovation projects and frame carpentry is a plus; handyman experience is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
