Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently. The Electrician will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical infrastructure within our organisation.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with safety standards and regulations
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs promptly to minimise downtime
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installation and maintenance tasks
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or faults
• Ensure all work complies with current health and safety legislation and company policies
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects efficiently
• Keep detailed records of work performed for maintenance logs and compliance purposes

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, etc., as well as power tools like drills and saws
• Strong electrical experience with the ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance (e.g., City & Guilds or NVQ)
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Good organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively
• Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential depending on site locations
