Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues promptly and effectively to minimise downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during installation and repair tasks.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and installations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrician
- . BS2391 inspection and testing
- Compex 7&8 or 1-4 ( not essential, with training provided to the successful candidate)
- Clean Driving licence
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Valid electrical licence or certification as recognised by local regulations is preferred.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy equipment when necessary. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality workmanship while maintaining a professional attitude at all times. Pay: From £18.38 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 42.5 per week
