Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. Mainly focusing on Domestic and commercial projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, along with practical experience using hand tools and power tools. The Electrician will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical operations within our organisation.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues promptly and effectively to minimise downtime.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to carry out installations or repairs accurately.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools including drills and saws to complete tasks efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or faults.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used for each project.
Qualifications
- NVQ LEVEL 3 and AM2
- 2391 inspection and testing
- 18th edition wiring regulations
- Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues.
- Valid electrical licence or certification as required by local regulations is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Pay: £18.00-£21.00 per hour
