Responsibilities:
The Plant Electrician will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing the specific duties below:

Strong working knowledge of 220/480v current to include the ability to troubleshoot break in line.

Strong working knowledge of wiring/unwiring electric commercial motors.

Perform routine and annual maintenance on plant electrical and electronic systems

Must be familiar with and know how to use various electrical tools such as an electric voltage meter.

Ability to read a wiring diagram

Must know how to tell whether an electrical motor is bad or not.
-
Must know how to change a starter and fuses in a panel box.
-
Must know how to change out heaters in an electrical box.
-
Must know how to run electrical circuits from electrical motors to panel box.

Troubleshoot problems and provide recommendations for problem resolution

Provide estimates for repairs, replacement, and installation according to problem diagnosis and repair/replacement recommendations

Order materials and do follow-up to maintenance

Complete all tasks safely
-
Report all hazards, accidents, injuries or environmental excursions immediately to your supervisor or a member of the management team

Minimum requirements:

High school diploma or trade school certification preferred
-
Excellent work ethic
-
Ability to work overtime, weekends and rotating shifts as required
-
Should be able to lift 50+ lbs
-
Working knowledge of a PLC system

Ability to do some maintenance jobs
