Electrician

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrician to join our fast-growing M&E team.

Working together with the qualifying supervisor to deliver high quality and safety compliant works.

Main duties include

- Emergency lighting systems installation and testing

- Fire alarm installation and testing

- Reactive faults and Planned maintenance

- Data cabling installation

- Occasional domestic works

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

- Full UK Driving licence

- Fully qualified electrician (recognised electrical apprenticeship), with demonstratable industry experience & hold the JIB Gold Card

- Be able to work alone or as part of a team

- Provide updates and progress reports to management as required

-Use relevant IT systems to record all work undertaken and related information and expenditure

- Liaise with clients effectively during works to limit downtime and disruption

-Work in an efficient and safe manor

- Demonstratable understanding of current health and safety legislation in relation to electrical safety at work

- Fire alarm experience desirable

- Specific experience of health and safety related standards and regulations ideally involving Rail (off-track) experience (not essential, training will be provided)

- Ability to manage own work and materials

- Able to communicate effectively across all levels always being polite and professional

- Experienced in delivering compliance in difficult environments.

-Possess excellent customer service skills

- Ability to deal with maintenance / reactive requests efficiently and effectively

- Random drugs and alcohol testing throughout employment

Qualifications

- NVQ level 3 – Electrician Gold card

- BS761 18th edition

-Inspection and testing (Desirable)
