Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation sites to new construction, utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience to deliver high-quality electrical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments using hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed according to NEC standards.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation projects and troubleshoot industrial control systems efficiently.
- Conduct construction site work including framing carpentry, renovation projects, and general handyman tasks related to electrical installations.
- Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues with electrical circuits, motors, or control panels.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure timely completion of electrical components within project specifications.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of NEC regulations.
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites involving renovation or new build projects.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and electrical system design.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage applications.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; and testing devices like ohmmeters.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces on construction or renovation sites.
- Additional handyman skills or frame carpentry experience are a plus for versatile project support. Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
