The Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center (ENREEC) in Ithaca, Nebraska is a leading hub for agricultural research, education, and innovation. Spanning nearly 9,700 acres of row crops and pasture and home to over 6,000 livestock animals, ENREEC plays a vital role in advancing modern farming. ENREEC is located close to Mead, Fremont, Ashland, and Wahoo and is just 30 minutes from Omaha or Lincoln.
As an Electrician III, you will:
- Install and maintain electrical power systems at ENREEC.
- Plan, perform, and supervise electrical installations including circuitry, sizing of wire, switching, mains and junction boxes for new and repair of existing single phase and three phase electrical systems.
- Perform diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on electrical equipment and controls.
- Prepare and obtain state electrical permits and perform follow-through inspections to ensure all electrical work is completed correctly and complies with current local, state and federal electrical codes.

- High school diploma or equivalency plus four (4) years of on-the-job electrical experience required. Additional completed relevant education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Skilled in the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems at the journeyman level.
- Current Journeyman Electrician license required.
- Proficient in basic computer applications, such as MS Office Suite, used for communication, scheduling, and collaboration.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet University driver eligibility criteria.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
- Relevant coursework or specialized training beyond high school in electrical trade.
- Contractor or Masters Electrical License.

$27.40/hr minimum
