Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required.
Two-year technical degree required OR equivalent work experience.
Completion of a three-year electrical apprenticeship, required.
Experience:
Minimum five years of experience in commercial electrical distribution installation and maintenance, required.
Healthcare or hospital experience, preferred.
Licensure:
Valid city or county journeyman's card and/or electrician’s license from state of employment, required.
Valid driver’s license, required.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of life safety, electrical, and building codes.
Expertise in electrical equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
Skilled in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Experience with electrical testing devices and emergency power systems.
(Preferred) Familiarity with mechanical systems and basic PC use.
Perform advanced electrical maintenance and repairs to support hospital operations.
Complete preventative maintenance and work orders on electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, including HVAC, variable speed drives, switchgear, motor control centers, and emergency generators.
Ensure compliance with electrical and building codes and maintain safe working conditions throughout the facility.
Be part of an on-call rotation (no regular weekends; only emergencies as needed).
