Qualifications
Education and Experience
-
High school diploma/GED and an additional six (6) months of advanced study or technical training in electrical/electronic technology.
-
Four (4) years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical work.
Licenses or Certifications
-
Must possess a valid state driver's license and obtain a valid Florida CDL B driver's license within six (6) months of hire or promotion.
Key Responsibilities:-
Installs, maintains, and repairs lighting systems, panel boards, motors, motor controls, transformers, relays, contactors, timers, computer drives, conduit, feeder wires and electrical service equipment at all City facilities.

Inspects and tests electrical wiring systems, fixtures, motors, generators, transformers and related equipment and components for City property.

Maintains City-owned streetlights, and power/lighting systems in ball fields, pedestrian bridges, public parks and other outdoor City property.

Establishes schedules and performs preventative maintenance duties all electrical systems, generators, locks and facilities.

Complies with all OSHA safety standards, personal protective equipment, and City safety regulations. Attends monthly safety meetings/training.

Performs other related duties as required.
