Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our solar project team in the Maldives. The ideal candidate must have successfully passed the Kahramaa Practical Test and possess strong hands-on experience in electrical connection works, particularly in construction or solar energy projects.

The role involves installation, connection, testing, and commissioning of electrical and solar PV systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. Kahramaa certification ensures competency in installation, troubleshooting, and safety practices for LV and MV systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation and connection works for solar PV systems (panels, inverters, DBs, cabling)
• Execute termination, wiring, and energization of electrical systems
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of solar and electrical systems
• Ensure all works comply with international standards and safety procedures
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to meet project deadlines
• Maintain proper documentation of work performed

Required Qualifications

• Technical Diploma / ITI in Electrical or equivalent
• Must have passed Kahramaa Practical Test (Mandatory)
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical connection works
• Strong knowledge of wiring systems, cable termination, and electrical installations
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and diagrams
• Good understanding of electrical safety standards and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in solar PV installation projects
• Previous experience in GCC countries (Qatar experience preferred)
• Familiarity with LV/MV systems and grid connections
• Basic English communication skills
