Job Purpose:

To perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on heavy trucks, construction equipment, light vehicles, and portable machines, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in heavy trucks, construction equipment (excavators, loaders, cranes, dozers, etc.), light vehicles, and portable machines (generators, compressors, welding machines, etc.).
• Inspect, maintain, and service electrical systems including wiring, lighting, ignition, alternators, batteries, sensors, and control modules.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance equipment life.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Install, test, and calibrate electrical components, relays, and control circuits.
• Identify and replace damaged or defective parts using proper tools and testing equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
• Collaborate with mechanics and workshop supervisors for integrated troubleshooting.
• Respond to urgent breakdowns at project sites to restore operations quickly.
• Report major faults or recurring issues to supervisors for further technical review.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems in heavy vehicles, equipment, and portable machines.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, multimeters, scanners, and testing equipment.
• Understanding of CAN bus systems and electronic control modules (ECM).
• Familiar with safety procedures for high-voltage and low-voltage systems.
• Problem-solving and fault-finding skills under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / Technical Certificate in Electrical Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Auto Electrician for heavy trucks, construction equipment, and light vehicles.
• Experience with portable machines (generators, welding machines, compressors, etc.) is required.
• Knowledge of electrical software diagnostics will be an advantage.

Physical & Work Conditions:

• Work in workshops, project sites, and field conditions.
• May require extended hours and emergency call-outs.
• Physically fit to handle equipment and tools.

Pay: ﷼2,500.00 - ﷼3,500.00 per month
