Salary: $23-30/hr DOE

Responsibilities:
Under the guided direction of the department or work cell supervisor or manager, employee will work as a team member within an assigned work group to produce or process microwave products in an environment of continual process improvement. Sets up and operates equipment to perform various assembly and test operations required to construct prototype, experimental or developmental microwave tubes.

Typical duties and requirements are not meant to be all encompassing but a general framework of requirements/responsibilities for the manufacture of traveling wave tubes and associated subassemblies.

Responsible for working from specifications, drawings, blueprints, test procedures, data sheets, oral and written instructions.
- Responsible for performing basic mechanical assembly (vac assembly, subs, package, magnet stack, high vac testing, circuits and other duties associated with the manufacture of traveling wave tubes). Additional duties may include, but not limited to mechanical teardown, prep, and cathode cleaning.

Responsible for effectively and efficiently setting up (ensures build records are with kit(s)– router, traveler, and history records any previous sequences have been completed and certified using assigned stamp and date) and operates assembly and/or process equipment as required to manufacture and process TWT’s through final acceptance and delivery.

Responsible for performing work under clean room conditions and controls when required.

Responsible for performing computerized equipment to input, retrieve and perform simple analysis of information.

Decision-making is generally guided Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

Knowledge of the use of torque tools, feeler gauges, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators is a plus. • Knowledge of foreign object debris (FOD) control and tool control processes is desirable.

Computer data input skills are helpful.

General knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and procedures, with previous precision mechanical assembly experience preferred.

Good math skills to carry out basic calculations and measurements are required
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain certifications as required per department requirements.

Must be able to proficiently read and understand engineering prints/documentation and ensuring any handwritten entries are neat, legible, and contain necessary stamps.

Responsible for adjusting and performing incidental related duties as assigned or required to ensure acceptable quality, cost (HPUs) and delivery expectations are met.

Work scheduled shifts as requested or permitted by Collective Bargaining Agreement; regular attendance and punctuality are required.

Must be proficient at clocking into (and out of) work orders.

Must have good repetitive manual dexterity with both hands.
High School diploma or GED, required
Experience using basic hand tools and welding.
20/20 eyesight (corrected) and good hand-eye coordination are necessary, along with the ability to work with small parts and hand tools under a microscope for extended periods of time.
1-3 years of operations or manufacturing-related work experience.
