Electro-Mechanical Technician

PMCO is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Technician in the plastics manufacturing industry in Fontana, CA!!

Salary: $105,000–$110,000/year DOE

Shift: Full-Time – 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shift (weekend and evening work required)

Location: On-site – Fontana, CA

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate technician assignments, downtime reporting, and maintenance scheduling with site leadership
• Oversee repairs, maintenance, and installation of manufacturing machinery, tools, and support equipment to ensure production uptime
• Troubleshoot and repair blow molding equipment, PLC-controlled machinery, and related downstream equipment
• Inspect machines and equipment for compliance with operational and safety standards
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and recommend solutions to leadership
• Research suppliers, technology, and cost-effective methods to support maintenance projects
• Assist in capital expenditure planning and facility improvement projects
• Train and mentor technicians on setup, changeover, and best practices for blow molding operations
• Perform facility maintenance duties including HVAC, carpentry, painting, landscaping, and security oversight
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports for management
• Travel occasionally to other company locations for training or project support

Education Requirements

• Technical or vocational degree/certificate in mechanical/electrical fields preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience considered

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 10+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Blow molding maintenance experience required
• Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled machinery and ancillary equipment
• Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA, and workplace safety standards
• Strong leadership and training abilities; able to mentor other technicians
• Capable of lifting/moving up to 50 lbs and working extended or off-shifts as needed
