Electromechanical Assembler

Position Summary

· This position is responsible for day-to-day assembly of component pieces into wheels and brakes.

· With appropriate training the individual will be required to perform functional testing of finished assemblies and prepare product for shipping to customers.

· This individual will also be responsible for participation in continuous improvement activities on a daily basis and on project teams.

Responsibilities

· Responsible for inspecting, cleaning and assembling components into final assembly and performing required testing necessary for final product acceptance.

· The individual will read blueprints, specifications, and work instructions and perform mechanical assembly processes.

Equipment

· This individual must be able to operate hydraulic test equipment after appropriate training. Ability to use power hand tools and will operate auxiliary machine tools as required.

Safety

· Responsible for working in a safe manner and observing all company procedures regarding environmental, health, and safety matters.

Miscellaneous

· Individual will do some frequent heavy lifting.

· Will be required to walk throughout the work day. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.

· May need to work variable schedules and additional hours as necessary.

· Other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Specifications

· Skilled at routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations

· Able to operate a variety of hand tools and machinery.

· Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures.

· Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
