Electronic Resources Access Coordinator -

The primary location of this position is on-site in Cullowhee, NC. This position is designated as being subject to the State of North Carolina Human Resources Act (SHRA).

This position is primarily responsible for establishing and maintaining access to electronic resources, including the management and oversight of knowledge bases, electronic management tools, authentication, and record maintenance in the library system. This position works closely with vendors and publishers to ensure holdings are accurate and electronic resources are accessible. This position also oversees the necessary workflows to ensure electronic resources are accessible, including troubleshooting and links. This position assists with any usage statistics that may be requested or needed. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the supervisor.

Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
  • Knowledge of continuing resources operations, electronic resource standards, and library database management, including familiarity with Alma, Primo, OpenAthens, COUNTER-compliant statistics, and SUSHI standards.
  • Ability to analyze situations, apply problem-solving skills, and work independently to prioritize and manage workflow.
  • Ability to contribute to project planning and coordination in collaboration with unit staff.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, publishers, and users, and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from a four-year college or university and one year of experience in a library or archives and/or records management; or high school and five years experience in a library or archives and/or records management; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
