Join AZAD as an Electrics Engineer and provide support and assistance to the Systems and Communications Testing organization within the Commissioning and Testing group in the Transmission Services business line. This Commissioning and Testing Engineer position provides on-site engineering and project management services for construction projects. The position also provides support, as a field electronics engineer, for coordinating and performing the testing of communications and control equipment in high voltage electrical substations, radio stations, and control centers, as well as modifications and additions to the existing installations on the system in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana. In addition to field installations there will be laboratory testing.

This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is full-time on-site in Vancouver, WA with onsite 5 days weekly.

The hourly pay rate range for this position
(which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.93) is $36.93 - $42.93 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.

The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering (from an ABET* accredited school) is required.
Candidates 3 months from graduation will be considered. Proof of degree may be requested after graduation.
6 months of Electrical Engineering experience is required.
Experience must include knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system.
Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
First Aid/AED/CPR Certification required within 30 days of assignment start. Worker/Employer is responsible for maintaining current certification.


Preferred:


Knowledge of design standards sufficient to review and correct Transfer Trip design, RAS and Data systems design, Microwave Radios, and Fiber optics
