About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our Electronics Procurement team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring high-quality electronic components and materials from both domestic and international suppliers. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth supply chain operations, cost optimization, and timely material availability for our production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure electronic components, raw materials, and consumables from approved vendors globally and locally.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers to achieve the best cost, quality, and delivery outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier information, and inventory levels in ERP systems.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to align procurement with project and production timelines.
• Develop and manage vendor relationships, conducting regular supplier evaluations to ensure performance and compliance.
• Track shipments, manage delivery schedules, and resolve any supply or quality issues proactively.
• Conduct cost analysis, market research, and supplier benchmarking to support strategic sourcing decisions.

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or related field OR MBA in Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or sourcing within the electronics or manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of electronic components, PCB materials, semiconductors, and related hardware.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
