Job Title: Electronics Repair TechnicianJob Summary
We are looking for a practical, hands-on Electronics Repair Technician to join our technical team at Perfect Vision. In this role, you will focus on the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of our core safety devices, including Proximity Warning systems (PWAS), In Vehicle Monitoring Systems (IVMS), and Load Moment Indicators (LMI). This is a great role for a technician who enjoys bench-work and wants to become an expert in specialized IoT safety hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose faults in electronic units (ECUs), display panels, and camera modules.
- Soldering & Assembly: Perform neat soldering, component replacement, and wiring/harness repairs on PCBs.
- Testing & Calibration: Use standard tools and software to test devices (Radar, Sensors, IR Cameras) to ensure they are working perfectly before they go back to the field.
- Firmware Updates: Perform routine software/firmware uploads and basic system configurations.
- Reporting: Keep simple, clear logs of what was fixed and what parts were used from the spare parts store.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- Education: Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience: Approximately 3 years of experience in repairing electronic devices or automotive electronics.
- Technical Skills: * Good at using a Multimeter and basic soldering stations.
- Ability to read basic electronic circuit diagrams/schematics.
- Comfortable using a PC for device configuration and testing.
- Mindset: A "fixer" who is detail-oriented, eager to learn our specific product line, and works well in a workshop environment.
Our Core Devices: You are expected to work with devices such as:
- PWAS: cameras, sensors, ultrasonic sensors, and warning alerts.
- IVMS: Fleet managment devices, In-cab cameras, GPS and fatigue monitoring units.
- LMI: Load cells and boom angle sensors for cranes.
