About the Role

We are looking for an Electronics Team Leader to increase our technical capacity, build internal tools, lead embedded engineering projects, and deploy high-performing technical squads to client engagements.

This role combines hands-on engineering, technical architecture, project planning, and team leadership. You will be a foundational member who helps Better Devices scale its technical services, guides sales & marketing with technical insight, and grows internal engineering squads.

Core ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership

• Architect embedded systems solutions, including requirement capture, component selection, and system design.
• Lead planning for client projects and build technical proposals.
• Build engineering processes and lead by example — schematic capture, firmware development, debugging, and prototyping.

Internal Engineering Development

• Build internal technical tools, frameworks, and reference architectures for IoT and embedded systems.
• Create technical assets (demos, POCs, frameworks) that support Sales and Marketing for new client acquisition.
• Develop and maintain a technical knowledge base, including case studies and blog posts.

Team Development

• Build and mentor internal engineering squads.
• Manage technical execution when squads are deployed to client projects.
• Ensure technical excellence, velocity, and alignment with Better Devices’ engineering standards.

Required Experience & SkillsMust-Haves

• Minimum 3+ years in embedded systems or hardware engineering.
• Hands-on hardware experience (schematic, prototyping, debugging).
• Strong experience in writing C/ C++ code for various SoCs/MCUs.
• Experience architecting embedded systems from scratch.
• Technical leadership of at least one multi-domain embedded product.
• Proficiency in Python for tooling, scripting, and automation.
• Working knowledge of Git and modern workflows.
• Exposure to JIRA, Asana, or similar project management tools.

Nice-to-Haves

• Project management experience.
• Team leadership or mentoring experience.
• Advanced circuit design or signal processing expertise.
• Experience building technical frameworks or dev-tools.
