Electronics Technician

An electronic technician job involves assembling, testing, calibrating, and repairing electronic systems and equipment. • Assembly and installation: Assemble and install electronic equipment and systems, including wiring and cables, according to technical specifications.
• Testing and calibration: Use diagnostic tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes to test system functionality, calibrate equipment, and ensure it meets performance standards.
• Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnose and fix problems with electronic systems and components by identifying and replacing faulty parts.
• Maintenance: Perform both routine and preventative maintenance on electronic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory, and create reports on project progress.

Required skills and qualifications

• Education: An associate's degree in electronics or a related field is often required.
• Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of electronic systems, components, and circuit diagrams is essential.
• Diagnostic tools: Proficiency with tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
