Position Overview

Hampstead Academy seeks an experienced, creative, and collaborative Full-Time Classroom Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025–2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and learning in grades 2, 3, 4, and/or 5, a strong understanding of child development, and experience designing inquiry-based and interdisciplinary learning experiences.

This teacher will serve as a homeroom educator responsible for core instruction (literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies), while collaborating closely with our STEAM, Art & Design, and Humanities specialists to integrate learning across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity.
• Create a classroom culture that reflects Hampstead Academy’s Mission and Vision — Connect, Inquire, Empower.
• Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and communicate student growth.
• Integrate literacy and numeracy into authentic, project-based learning experiences.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units, align curriculum, and support school-wide initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with families to build strong partnerships in support of each student’s academic and social-emotional growth.
• Participate in professional development, school events, and community activities that enrich the Hampstead Academy experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• NH teacher certification (or eligibility for certification) in Elementary Education.
• Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience in grades 2–5 preferred.
• Demonstrated success in student-centered, project-based, or inquiry-based instruction.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to reflective teaching, continuous learning, and inclusive practices.
