Position Details

Instructional Planning and Delivery:

  • Develop and implement differentiated ESL lesson plans aligned with state and national standards (e.g., WIDA ELD Standards) that address all four language domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology to meet the diverse learning needs and proficiency levels of ELLs.
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive, and language-rich classroom environment that promotes student engagement and risk-taking.
  • Integrate language and content instruction, supporting ELLs in accessing core curriculum subjects.

Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

  • Administer formal and informal assessments to determine students’ English language proficiency levels and track their progress.
  • Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions about student support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
  • Prepare and disseminate regular progress reports to students, parents, and relevant staff.
