The Administrative Secretary will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Elementary School Principal and other administrative staff members. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and organizing the daily administrative activities of the school, including scheduling appointments, preparing reports and correspondence, managing files, answering phone calls and emails, and interacting with parents, students, and staff members in a professional manner.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Elementary School Principal and other administrative staff members
- Manage and organize the daily administrative activities of the school
- Schedule appointments and meetings for the Principal and other staff members
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and other documents as required
- Manage files, records, and other documents in an organized and efficient manner
- Answer phone calls and emails, respond to inquiries, and redirect calls and emails to appropriate staff members
- Maintain an up-to-date database of student and staff information
- Assist with the organization and implementation of school events and activities
- Interact with parents, students, and staff members in a professional and courteous manner
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Elementary School Principal or other administrative staff members
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative support role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with diverse groups of people
