Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education either K-6 or 1-8 or equivalent, as well as the ability to obtain a license from the State of Utah.

· Start Date 8/1/2026

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Immerses and cultivates the diverse and cohesive culture already in place at Beehive Academy. Collaborates closely with team members to continue to improve upon the positive environment and achieving instruction towards the development of promoting under-represented student populations for success.
  • Develops lesson plans and instructional materials providing effective teaching strategies.
  • Maintains effective classroom management, recognizes and addresses learning and behavior issues.
  • Uses S.T.E.M. in cross-curricular instruction.
  • Supports in vertical alignment of S.T.E.M. and other curricular areas.
  • Understands developmental appropriateness of materials and differentiates instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Evaluates accomplishments of students on a regular basis using multiple assessment methods; provides progress and interim reports for feedback.
  • Communicates with parents in a timely manner; maintains positive and constructive communication with students, staff, parents, and community.
  • Protects students, equipment, materials, and facilities by taking necessary and reasonable precautions.
  • Upholds and enforces board policy, school mission, vision, and goals, administrative procedures and school rules and regulations. Adheres to health and safety policies.
  • Maintains appropriate work habits, including regular and punctual attendance and appropriate use of planning times.
  • Keeps current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory. Attends staff meetings, and trainings and supports in committee meetings and provides support with tutoring and additional clubs for interested students.
  • Performs difficult professional work and leadership responsibilities within a broad range of teaching or specific learning programs.

· Respects the confidentiality of records and information regarding students, parents, and teachers in accordance with accepted professional ethics and state requirements.

· Assists students in developing skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed as a foundation for future learning in accordance with each student’s ability.

Physical Requirements

· Requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, understanding and utilizing different technologies and operating machines and technology tools.

  • Work occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g., business office, light traffic).

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $2,800.00 - $3,200.00 per month
