Duties

  • Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and arts.
  • Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation, creativity, and respectful interactions among students.
  • Utilize learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding.
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and ongoing formative assessments.
  • Provide individualized tutoring and support for students with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention strategies.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and clear expectations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, participate in school activities, and contribute to school-wide initiatives such as library services or extracurricular programs.

Requirements

  • Proven classroom experience with elementary-aged children in diverse educational settings.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and behavior management strategies.
  • Proficiency in working with learning technology tools and integrating them into daily lessons.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
  • Ability to develop creative lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and library services when applicable.
  • Demonstrated skills in proofreading, writing skills for lesson documentation, and curriculum development.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports early intervention efforts and private school standards if applicable. Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
