Elementary Teacher - Short Term Substitute

The following position is posted in accordance with the negotiated agreement:

POSITION: 1.0 FTE Short-Term Substitute 2nd Grade Teacher

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: New York State Early Education Birth-Grade 2, Childhood Education Grades 1-6

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Comprehensive understanding of NYS ELA, Math, SS, and Science Next Generation Standards

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of the principles and methods for instruction at the elementary level.
• Demonstrate ability to design and implement lessons to meet the learning needs of students with varying levels of ability.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to create a positive student centered learning environment.
• Utilization of student assessments and data processes to identify programmatic needs, as well as target support for individual students.
• Collaborate with faculty and grade level team to design, modify, and implement effective lesson (unit) plans.

START DATE: December 15, 2025
SALARY: $170.00/per day
