Elevate Atlanta
AmeriCorps members will serve as Teacher-Mentor Assistants supporting classroom instruction, mentoring, and after-school programming to help youth build academic, social, and career readiness skills. They will assist with tutoring, family engagement activities, community service projects, college and career exploration, and experiential learning opportunities. Members will build positive relationships with students and families, help implement Elevate’s accredited curriculum, and serve as role models who support student growth and leadership development. They will also maintain accurate service documentation, participate in required training and professional development, and complete national service days while working toward the completion of their 1,700-hour service term.
Member Duties : AmeriCorps members will serve full-time (1,700 hours) supporting Elevate USA’s in-school and out-of-school youth development programming. Members will mentor and build consistent, supportive relationships with students, assist in delivering classroom-based curriculum, and help facilitate activities focused on leadership, life skills, and college and career readiness. They will participate in required trainings, including RISE training, and engage in ongoing professional development and monthly check-ins. Members will track service hours, complete reports, and support program implementation at their assigned affiliate site under a Site Supervisor. Additionally, members will participate in national service days and community engagement efforts, helping expand services without displacing staff.
