Job Title: Elevator Operator

Job Location: Lake City Developers, Lake City Lahore

Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Days: 6 days a week (Shift-based)
Shift Duration: 8 hours per day.

Job Purpose

The Elevator Operator is responsible for the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of elevators in high-rise buildings, ensuring passenger safety, courteous service, and compliance with operational and safety standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Elevator Operations

• Operate passenger and service elevators safely and efficiently.
• Ensure smooth floor-to-floor movement without abrupt stops.
• Assist residents, visitors, and staff in entering and exiting the elevator.

2. Passenger Safety & Assistance

• Ensure elevator doors are properly closed before operation.
• Prevent overloading of elevators and enforce capacity limits.
• Assist elderly residents, children, and persons with disabilities when required.
• Respond calmly and responsibly during power failures, breakdowns, or emergencies.

3. Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor elevator functioning during the shift and report any abnormal noise, delay, or malfunction immediately.
• Maintain a basic daily elevator log (start/end time, issues, incidents).
• Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors during inspections or repairs.

4. Emergency Handling

• Follow emergency protocols during elevator stoppages or entrapments.
• Communicate with security and maintenance teams promptly.
• Reassure passengers and ensure no panic situation arises.

5. Professional Conduct

• Maintain a neat appearance and professional behavior at all times.
• Be courteous, polite, and respectful to residents, guests, and management.
• Follow company policies, safety rules, and building SOPs strictly.

6. Compliance & Discipline

• Adhere to shift timings and attendance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.
• Avoid unauthorized use or operation of elevators.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Minimum Qualification

• Matric (preferred)

Experience

• 1–2 years of experience as an Elevator Operator in: High-rise residential buildings, Commercial towers.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of elevator operation and safety procedures
• Ability to follow instructions and SOPs
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm demeanor under pressure
• Physically fit and alert
• Basic literacy for operating elevators and log entries

Preferred

• Prior experience with automatic and manual elevators
• Familiarity with emergency handling procedures

Working Conditions

• Shift-based duty (morning / evening)
• Standing and alert duty during operational hours
• Indoor environment (building premises)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs45,000.00 per month
