Elevator Technician

We are seeking a skilled Elevator Technician with strong knowledge of installation, mechanical systems, testing, and commissioning requirements. The technician will be responsible for ensuring elevators are installed, tested, and commissioned safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

*Carry out installation of elevator components including guide rails, machines, controllers, wiring, and safety devices.

*Perform mechanical works such as alignment, tensioning of ropes, and adjustment of drive units.

*Conduct mechanical and functional testing: load tests, brake tests, leveling accuracy, and safety device checks.

* Assist in commissioning activities including calibration, fine-tuning, and system verification.

* Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during installation and testing phases.

* Ensure all works comply with international standards (EN 81, ASME A17.1, or local authority requirements).

* Prepare reports, testing records, and commissioning documentation for submission.

* Maintain a safe working environment by following company safety policies and procedures.

* Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and inspectors for timely project completion.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma / ITI in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Elevator Technician.

Strong knowledge of elevator installation, mechanical works, testing, and commissioning.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Familiarity with testing instruments (multimeter, load tester, governor tester).

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Knowledge of occupational health and safety procedures.

Preferred Experience:

* Exposure to major elevator brands (Otis, Schindler, KONE, Mitsubishi, etc.).

* Hands-on experience in both commercial and residential projects.

* Previous work in GCC or similar regulatory environments (if applicable).
