Elevator Technician

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Elevator Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair elevator and lift systems. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, pays close attention to detail, and is committed to providing reliable, code-compliant service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair elevators, escalators, and lift systems
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and safety checks
• Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns in a timely manner
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national safety codes
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, building managers, and clients
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
• Completion of an elevator technician apprenticeship or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems
• Knowledge of elevator safety regulations and codes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools
• Strong customer service and communication skills
