Eligibility & Benefits Verification Specialist

The Eligibility and Benefits Verification Specialist is a pivotal member of our team, responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage and ensuring necessary procedures are covered by an individual's provider. This individual plays a key role in minimizing financial risks for both the organization and the patient.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Verification Tasks: Accurately verify insurance eligibility and benefits information for new and returning patients using various online systems and via telephone calls to insurance carriers.
• Data Entry: Enter detailed insurance and benefits information into the patient's electronic health record or company database accurately.
• Coordination: Liaise with front office staff, billing teams, and clinicians to update them on coverage details, ensuring a smooth patient experience.
• Patient Communication: Inform patients of their insurance benefits, co-payments, deductibles, and any other pertinent insurance details. Address any questions or concerns they might have.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate notes of all interactions with insurance carriers and patients.
• Problem-Solving: Work with insurance companies to resolve any eligibility or benefits issues that may arise.
• Compliance: Ensure all processes are compliant with federal and state regulations and company policies.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with changing insurance policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Reporting: Generate and analyze reports detailing insurance verification activities, discrepancies, and issues. Propose process improvements based on data.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous experience in insurance verification, billing, or a related field preferred.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records and other computer systems.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10 codes a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per month

• Lahore: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
