ELN System Administrator (Biovia applications / system) - BioPharma / Lifescience

India

Designation: ELN System Administrator – BIOVIA (application/systems)

Qualification: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, or related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in Biovia ELN (Electronic Laboratory Notebook) system administration, configuration, and support.

Work Location: Remote (India) - Working in collaboration with ITSoli US Service Delivery Team, supporting an US Biopharmaceutical client.

Work Timing: US (PST) Hours (Work schedule can be split into 4 hours PM (IST) and 4 hours AM (PST) working hours once KT (Knowledge Transfer) days are completed for new Joiners - depending on daylight saving)

Job Role: As an ELN System Administrator – Biovia, you will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting the Biovia ELN platform to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. You will collaborate closely with scientists, business users, and the ITSoli US Service Delivery Team to manage day-to-day operations, troubleshoot issues, implement system changes, and support integrations with other enterprise applications. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and strong communication to provide seamless system support in a global biopharmaceutical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Biovia ELN applications and related modules.
  • Manage user access, roles, and security compliance in line with organizational policies.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolution.
  • Support integration of ELN with LIMS, SDMS, and other scientific/enterprise applications.
  • Coordinate with global teams for system upgrades, patches, and validation activities.
  • Document system changes, configurations, and support procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity guidelines.
  • Provide user training, technical support, and incident management as per SLA.
  • Collaborate with ITSoli US Service Delivery Team and business stakeholders for enhancement requests and system optimization.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with Biovia ELN administration (installation, configuration, troubleshooting).
  • Knowledge of system integrations with LIMS, SDMS, and ERP applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle/MS SQL databases and scripting.
  • Good understanding of Windows/Linux server environments.
  • Familiarity with GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, validation, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a global environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with other Biovia applications (Pipeline Pilot, LES, Notebook, Workbook).
  • Exposure to cloud-hosted scientific applications.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes, incident/change management tools (ServiceNow, JIRA).
  • Basic understanding of laboratory workflows and informatics platforms.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹2,500,000.00 per year

  • integrating ELN with LIMS, SDMS, ERP, other scientific apps: 2 years (Required)

Shift availability:

  • Night Shift (Preferred)
  • Overnight Shift (Required)
