Job Purpose

To manage and oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems at project sites, ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. The role requires technical expertise in commissioning and a strong background in ELV system installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage all ELV works on site, including installation, testing, and commissioning of systems such as:
  • CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Intercom, Gate Barriers and related systems.
  • Review and implement ELV shop drawings, schematics, and method statements.
  • Lead commissioning activities, system configurations, integrations, and final handovers.
  • Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical/site issues.
  • Plan daily work schedules and allocate tasks to technicians and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and progress as per project timelines.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including work inspection requests (WIRs) & material inspection requests (MIRs), test reports, as-built drawings, and handover files.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support to the site team.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations, and international standards.
  • Support project manager in progress reporting, material requisitions, and coordination meetings.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge in ELV system installations and commissioning.
  • Ability to manage and lead site teams effectively.
  • Good understanding of integration between multiple ELV systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with safety and quality standards in construction/MEP projects.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics related field.
  • 5–8 years’ experience in ELV systems installation and commissioning, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/engineer role.
  • Hands-on experience with major ELV systems and brands (Honeywell, Bosch, Siemens, Hikvision, etc.).
  • GCC / UAE site experience preferred.
  • UAE Driving License required.
