ELV Supervisor

Job Summary:

The ELV Supervisor ((Extra-Low Voltage Systems) is responsible for overseeing the installation, integration, and testing of all Extra-Low Voltage systems within the project. This role ensures that systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Data/Networking, and Building Management Systems (BMS) are implemented according to technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Systems Installation Oversight: Supervise the on-site installation of ELV components, including cable, containment, and end-device mounting (CCTV, Sensors, Speakers, etc.).
  • Technical Compliance: Ensure all ELV works comply with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and local authority regulations (e.g., HCIS, Civil Defense).
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Manage specialized ELV subcontractors, ensuring their workforce adheres to the project schedule and maintains high-quality workmanship.
  • Testing & Commissioning: Lead the testing and commissioning phase for all low-voltage systems to ensure full functionality and seamless integration with other building services.
  • Troubleshooting & Quality Control: Proactively identify technical issues or system glitches during installation and implement immediate corrective actions.
  • Documentation & As-Built Drawings: Review and maintain accurate records of installation progress, cable schedules, and ensure "As-Built" drawings reflect the actual site installation.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Communications Engineering.
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of specialized experience in ELV systems installation and supervision, preferably in large-scale residential or commercial projects.


Technical Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of ELV systems (CCTV, ACS, FAS, PA/GA, SMATV, and Structured Cabling).
  • Familiarity with Networking protocols and Building Automation (BMS).
  • Ability to read and interpret ELV schematic diagrams and shop drawings.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong technical problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent coordination skills to work between MEP and Civil teams.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to system reliability.
