ELV Technician – Facilities Management (FM)

Job description:

We are looking for a skilled ELV Technician with facility management company experience to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Control, and structured cabling within hospital environments. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to safety standards, and the ability to work in sensitive clinical areas while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Location: Qatar University
Employment Type: Contract – 1 Month (Extendable)
Salary: QAR 2500 (All inclusive)
Working Schedule: 6 Days per Week | 9 Hours per Day

Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced ELV Technician for a short-term project at Qatar University. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience working with a Facilities Management (FM) company and be capable of independently handling ELV maintenance and troubleshooting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of ELV systems
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) as per schedule
• Handle corrective maintenance and emergency breakdowns
• Conduct testing, calibration, and basic commissioning
• Maintain and service systems including:
• CCTV
• Access Control
• Fire Alarm Systems
• Structured Cabling
• Public Address (PA) Systems
• Maintain proper service reports and maintenance logs
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and client requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year ITI / Technical Diploma in Electrical or Electronics
• Minimum 3 years of experience in ELV systems
• Experience working with an FM (Facilities Management) company
• Experience in maintenance (not only installation/projects)
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Basic knowledge of networking/IP systems is an advantage
