Summary
Pin-Up Marketing is seeking a creative and collaborative Email Marketing & Social Content Specialist to join our growing team! This is a full-time (or part-time considered), work from home position. Though we are owned and operate in the Kansas City, MO area, local residence is preferred but not required.
This role’s primary focus is email marketing—building campaigns, writing and designing emails, managing approvals, and deploying to segmented audiences. You’ll also provide support for short-form social video content (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X), helping our social team produce engaging, platform-ready creative.
If you bring additional skills (or want to learn more), we’re open to training and expanding responsibilities so you can become a truly multi-faceted contributor across the agency.
Key Responsibilities
Email Marketing (Primary)
- Build, write, and deploy email campaigns including newsletters, promos, event announcements, lead nurture, and re-engagement sequences
- Create email content (copy + basic design/layout) aligned to brand voice and campaign goals
- Manage the email production workflow: timelines, internal coordination, client reviews, and final approvals
- Segment lists and personalize content to improve engagement and results
- QA emails across devices and inboxes (formatting, links, deliverability best practices)
- Track campaign performance (open rate, CTR, conversion rate, deliverability) and make recommendations for improvement
- Maintain clean email organization, naming conventions, and reporting summaries for clients/internal teams
Social Media Video Support (Secondary)
- Assist in creating short-form video content for TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and X
- Edit videos for performance (hooks, pacing, captions, transitions, music, trending formats)
- Help transform campaign themes into scroll-stopping creative concepts
- Organize content drafts and collaborate on approvals/revisions
“Bonus” Areas (Optional / Grow Into)
Depending on your strengths and interests, you may also support or train into areas like:
- Blog writing / SEO support
- Basic graphic design support (Canva/Adobe)
- Reporting dashboards and campaign recap decks
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or content production (agency experience is a plus)
- Experience creating and deploying emails using an email platform (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Constant Contact, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.)
- Strong copywriting skills and a good understanding of how to write for action (clicks, leads, sales)
- Highly organized—comfortable managing timelines, approvals, and feedback loops
- Basic design eye and ability to format emails cleanly (templates, spacing, CTA clarity, mobile-first thinking)
- Comfortable editing short-form social video (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar)
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Basic understanding of deliverability (spam triggers, authentication awareness like SPF/DKIM/DMARC)
- Experience building automations/flows (welcome series, abandoned cart, lead nurture, etc.)
- Familiarity with UTM tracking and campaign attribution
- Experience repurposing long-form content into short-form video
- Canva or Adobe Creative Suite familiarity
- Light analytics/reporting experience (GA4, platform reporting, Looker Studio, etc.)
