"Email Security Implementation Engineer (Proofpoint Practice)"

We're Hiring – Email Security Implementation Engineer (Proofpoint Practice).

Job Location: - Gurugram (Sector 20, Gurugram).

Experience: - 4+ years in email security or cybersecurity solutions.

Notice Period: - Immediate joiners or those available by the last week of October.

Required Skills & Experience: -
Prior experience with any of the following tools:- Mimecast, Cisco Secure Email (IronPort), Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Symantec/Broadcom, Barracuda, Trend Micro, Fortinet, etc.
Understanding of email protocols: SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC.
Strong understanding of networking concepts.
Familiarity with email routing, filtering, and encryption.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace environments.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Core Skill Sets to Request: -
Email Security Gateways: -
Experience with Proofpoint, Forcepoint, Mimecast, Cisco Secure Email (IronPort), Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Barracuda, etc.
Hands-on with spam filtering, encryption, email routing, policy configuration.
DLP (Data Loss Prevention): -
Experience with Forcepoint DLP, Symantec DLP, Microsoft Purview DLP, or Proofpoint DLP.
Should understand policy creation, incident response, fingerprinting, EDM/IDM, tuning false positives.
DNS & Email Authentication Protocols:-
Familiarity with SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and how they are configured and validated.
Knowledge of tools like MXToolbox, Valimail, or native DNS checks.
Cloud & Collaboration Security:-
Experience securing Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace environments.
Understanding of Zero Trust, cloud security stacks (Zscaler, Cloudflare, Palo Alto Prisma, etc.).
General Cybersecurity Competencies:-
Strong troubleshooting of SMTP, TLS, and DNS issues.
Knowledge of phishing defense, BEC (Business Email Compromise) scenarios, and malware filtering.
Familiarity with incident response workflows and client communications.

Job Key Responsibilities: -
Assist in the deployment and configuration of Proofpoint solutions (e.g., Email Protection, TAP, DLP, Security Awareness, etc.).
Work closely with clients to understand security needs, design appropriate configurations, and ensure successful implementations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to email flow, phishing, malware, encryption, and policy enforcement.
Work with internal teams and Proofpoint support to escalate and resolve complex problems.
Maintain documentation and support handover materials for clients.
Participate in training programs and certifications to gain Proofpoint expertise.
