Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on senior engineer with a strong background in embedded systems development and hardware design. The ideal candidate has taken devices from concept through production and market launch, with a solid understanding of medical device development, including regulatory and clinical requirements. As part of a small, fast-moving startup, you will have significant ownership and responsibility over design decisions and the product development roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded software/firmware for microcontrollers
- Lead and contribute to hardware design of medical-grade embedded systems
- Work with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout
- Drive product development from prototyping to market deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, clinical, and regulatory
- Ensure designs comply with relevant clinical, safety, and regulatory standards
- Testing and device compliance to regulatory standards (IEC, ISO, FDA/CE)
- Take ownership of technical challenges, from concept through execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record in designing and deploying embedded devices to market
- Hands-on experience with embedded programming (C/C++ or similar)
- Strong experience in hardware design (schematics, PCB layout, bring-up, testing
- Proficiency in Altium Designer
- Ability to work on-site in a collaborative environment
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $170,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
