We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to take ownership of bootloader development, SoC-level system software, and real-time hardware monitoring. This role sits at the critical intersection of silicon and software, where you will architect the earliest stages of system startup and ensure the secure, reliable operation of complex automotive SoC platforms.

You will work across multiple domains-from secure boot chains to real-time core monitoring and over-the-air software updates-making this one of the most technically diverse embedded roles available.

Key Responsibilities

Your work will span three core areas of SoC and system-level software:

  • Bootloader & System Startup: Design and implement bootloader sequences, Suspend-To-RAM flows, and software update (flashing) mechanisms to ensure fast, reliable system initialization.
  • Real-Time Core Monitoring: Implement software on the real-time core to monitor the wider SoC, including Built-In Self-Test (BIST) routines at startup and runtime, compliant with ISO 26262 ASIL-B.
  • BSP & Inter-Core Communication: Develop and maintain Board Support Packages, vendor library integrations, and inter-core IPC mechanisms.
  • Connectivity Support: Enable and optimize Ethernet and CAN/Ethernet routing, as well as NPU support modules.

Candidate Profile

We need an engineer who thrives at the lowest levels of the software stack and is comfortable working directly with hardware teams and data sheets.

Core Requirements:

  • Low-Level C/C++: Deep expertise in C and C++ for bare-metal and RTOS-based embedded systems.
  • Hardware Bring-up: Proven experience powering on new SoC/MCU platforms and validating hardware-software interfaces.
  • BSP & Driver Development: Strong background in developing Board Support Packages and low-level peripheral drivers.
  • Embedded Software Development & Testing: Solid track record of developing, integrating, and testing embedded software in structured environments.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Functional Safety (FuSa): Experience with ISO 26262, particularly at ASIL-B level or above.
  • ASPICE: Familiarity with Automotive SPICE processes and documentation standards.

Why Join Us?

You will shape the foundation upon which the entire vehicle software stack is built. From the very first instruction a processor executes to the secure runtime environment that protects critical data, your work will define the reliability and security posture of next-generation automotive platforms.
