Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded systems for our waste-to-energy products.
- Develop firmware for microcontrollers (ESP32, STM32, AVR, Arduino-class MCUs, or similar).
- Integrate sensors, actuators, communication modules, and protection circuits.
- Build and debug custom PCBs, including schematic design, layout, and prototype testing.
- Implement and optimize communication protocols such as:
- UART, I2C, SPI
- RS485 / Modbus
- MQTT / HTTP / IoT cloud communication
- Work closely with mechanical and software teams to ensure smooth system integration.
- Conduct bench testing, calibration, validation, and troubleshooting of electronic systems.
- Select appropriate components (MCUs, sensors, power supplies, relays, drivers, etc.) based on performance and cost.
- Support field testing and debugging of deployed prototypes.
- Maintain detailed documentation for firmware versions, wiring diagrams, PCB revisions, and test processes.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety, EMI/EMC considerations, and hardware reliability standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Embedded Systems Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with embedded firmware development (C, C++, MicroPython, or similar).
- Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals (power, sensors, signal conditioning, digital/analog electronics).
- Experience with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, Proteus, etc.).
- Ability to design and debug circuits on breadboards and PCBs.
- Experience integrating real-world sensors and actuators.
- Experience with serial communication protocols and IoT connectivity.
- Good problem-solving, testing, and debugging skills.
- A passion for climate-tech, energy systems, or sustainable hardware.
