Description Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Deliver high-quality pre-hospital and in-hospital patient care based on patient needs and approved medical protocols under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor and medical oversight.
- Vehicle & Equipment Readiness: Operate and maintain EMS vehicles and equipment to ensure full readiness at all times. Perform shift-start vehicle checks, complete all logbooks and checklists, and report any malfunction or damage immediately.
- Administrative & Clinical Reporting: Complete administrative and clinical tasks assigned by the Operations Supervisor/Manager. Report accidents, incidents, breakdowns, defects, and complete required documentation accurately.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Work collaboratively with EMS team members and other healthcare professionals. Assist in the orientation and development of EMS personnel. Promote positive teamwork and a supportive work environment.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Ensure safety measures are followed for patients and EMS staff at all times. Maintain personal cleanliness and ensure the ambulance and equipment remain clean, sanitized, and organized.
- Resource Management: Use medical supplies properly to avoid wastage. Participate in problem-solving and manage limited resources effectively.
- Protocol Compliance: Adhere strictly to the assigned privilege list, scope of authority, and approved medical protocols by the Golden Etihad medical company.
- Ambulance Driving: Drive ambulances safely for patient transport. Read maps, follow geographic directions, and report transportation delays or issues.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of the job.
Requirements
- Skills and Abilities: Strong ability to deliver urgent pre-hospital medical care. High accuracy in completing medical documentation and reports. Effective communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to operate EMS equipment and maintain control during emergency situations. Ability to multitask and respond calmly under pressure.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician.
- Education: Diploma or higher in Emergency Medical Services or a related clinical emergency field.
- Language: Excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic.
- Licenses / Certifications: Valid Light Transport Driving License; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Life Support (ALS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Emergency Vehicle Operator Safety (EVOS); Valid SCFHS license for EMS profession.
