Overview

Amana Healthcare, brought to you by M42 and Mumtalakat, is pleased to announce the first Amana Healthcare facility in Bahrain, located in Al Jasra will open in late 2025. This world-class hospital will provide long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation services.

Amana Healthcare provides long-term care for adult patients with complex medical needs in an inpatient setting. Multidisciplinary care will be provided though intensive care unit (ICU) physicians, geriatricians, nurses, therapists, and a patient & family experience team who work collaboratively to enhance the quality of life for those patients. It also offers specialized rehabilitation for individuals who require inpatient rehabilitation following a life-altering event, such as stroke, brain injury, spine injury, joint replacement, or amputation.


Position Summary:

An Emergency Medicine Physician is responsible for delivering high-quality, immediate medical care to patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions. Working in high-pressure environments such as emergency departments, they assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. Their expertise lies in rapid clinical decision-making, stabilization of critically ill patients, and coordination of care across multiple medical disciplines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, or trauma-related emergencies.
  • Perform essential emergency procedures including airway management, resuscitation, suturing, fracture reduction, and wound care.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab results, radiographs, ECGs, and imaging studies.
  • Stabilize and triage patients, deciding on hospital admission, discharge, or referral to other departments.
  • Lead code blues, trauma responses, and other critical interventions.
  • Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare teams about diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and timely medical records.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and support teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Adhere to medical protocols, safety standards, and legal regulations.


Qualifications:

  • MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
  • Residency or postgraduate training in Emergency Medicine is strongly preferred.
  • Valid NHRA medical license and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in emergency or acute care settings.
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
