• Night shift opportunity available for Med-Surg RNs seeking ER cross-training

Compensation

Hourly Pay (based on experience):

• $32.33/hr (0–9 years)

• $40.41/hr (10–19 years)

• $48.50/hr (20+ years)

Shift Differentials:

• Nights: $3.00/hr

• Weekend Days: $3.00/hr

• Weekend Nights: $7.00/hr

Incentives

• Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (2-year commitment)

• Relocation Assistance: Up to $1,500

Role Overview

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides high-quality care to patients presenting with conditions ranging from minor injuries to critical, life-threatening emergencies. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and professionalism in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages

• Manage multiple patients simultaneously based on acuity

• Deliver safe, evidence-based emergency nursing care

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

• Educate patients and families on follow-up care and discharge instructions

• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner

• Maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations

Requirements

• RN Diploma or Associate Degree (required)

• BSN or enrollment in a BSN program (preferred)

• Active Virginia RN license or multistate compact license eligible for VA

• BLS (AHA) certification required

• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience in an acute care setting

• Med-Surg RNs considered for ER cross-training (night shift only)
