Our office in Hunt Valley, MD is hiring for a Customer Service Representative working with the Employee Benefits insurance industry. This position is responsible for day-to-day customer service and enrollment of designated client accounts.

How you'll make an impact-
Talk with client employees and HR contacts by phone concerning employee benefit related questions, including Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA)

Answer and file various email questions of participants and HR contacts through multiple email boxes

Key client employee enrollment data into internet-based computer system using established office procedures

Handle diverse customer service situations between employees, employers and insurance carrier vendors in a professional manner

Process client employee changes and terminations following established office procedures

Track open carrier or client employee issues and report on progress toward completion.

Assist client contacts with general insurance rules and compliance

Review benefit communication material for accuracy and completeness.

Represent AP Benefit Advisors in a positive and professional fashion with both internal and external customers.

Provide team and client with appropriate timelines to ensure that expectations and turnaround times are met.

Maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure in a deadline driven environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.
About You
Required: High school diploma and a minimum of 1 year of customer service experience. Strong typing and basic computer skills.
Preferred: Working knowledge of MS systems, i.e., MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Word.
Behaviors: Good verbal communication skills. Maintains a high level of professionalism with clients and establishes a positive rapport with every caller.
