Description of Responsibilities
The HR Employee Engagement Specialist serves as a vital liaison between HR, Leadership, and employees, fostering a workplace culture where engagement, well-being, and high performance thrive. this role blends strategic engagement initiatives with generalist responsibilities to foster a supportive, compliant, and dynamic work environment

Responsibilities include the following:
1. Lead the strategic development, implementation, and advocacy of initiatives that drive employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, ensuring alignment with the organizational values and goals.
2. Partner with leadership to cultivate a workplace culture that promotes well-being, diversity inclusion and work-life balance.
3. Lead performance management initiatives that foster a culture of excellence, including ensuring employees receive comprehensive and effective training & development, regular feedback, clearly defined growth pathways, and the necessary support to achieve high performance
4. Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding programs that enhance early employee engagement and performance within their first 90 days.
5. Organize and implement employee engagement events, workshops, and recognition programs that encourage collaboration, morale, workplace satisfaction, and continuous high performance.
6. Track and analyze workforce metrics, KPI’s (e.g., turnover, retention, engagement, performance) to identify trends and develop strategic improvements.
7. Support the daily operations of the HR department and assist all employees with questions and concerns , as necessary, including cross training to support Leave of Absence, Benefits and Workers Compensation administration.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and successfully use critical thinking skills and good judgement to navigate sensitive information and communications.
2. Effective interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
3. Strong communication skills, including effective verbal and writing skills.
4. Organized, accurate, detail oriented, and able to monitor work for quality.
5. Adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
6. Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, skillfully gather and analyze information, and present data in a resourceful manner
7. Computer literate with experience in the Microsoft Office suite such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Education and/or Experience:
1. Must have a High School diploma or Graduation Equivalent Diploma (G.E.D.) or Higher.
2. A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in HR, Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, or Well-being roles.
3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
4. Associate’s degree or higher, highly desirable.
